CNN experienced significant declines in viewership during the November election month, with total day ratings averaging just 482,000 viewers, according to Nielsen data.

Following the election, CNN’s audience dropped by 39% in primetime compared to year-to-date figures. The decline placed CNN far behind Fox News Channel. The network’s total day viewership also suffered, with CNN averaging only 357,000 viewers.
