‘Very Painful’: Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson Faces Major Health Issues

Phil Robertson, the star of “Duck Dynasty,” is reportedly facing significant health issues, including early-stage Alzheimer’s, a blood disorder, and a fractured back. His son, Willie, recently revealed that Phil’s condition is complex. The Robertson family has been actively involved in Phil’s care, seeking medical opinions and treatments. Willie noted that Phil’s blood disorder causes him to produce excessive blood, leading to ministrokes. Phil also struggles with back pain, impacting his mobility and overall well-being.

Willie said, “He’s got a blood disorder, and then he’s got the mental issues that could be early [on-set] Alzheimer’s … and probably some ministrokes because of his blood.”

Willie added, “Especially in any situation where he’s getting up from the seated position or laying position, [it’s] super stressful for him, too, and very painful.”

During an episode of “Unashamed with the Robertson Family,” Jase shared that their father is battling memory loss and communication difficulties due to early-stage Alzheimer’s. “He’s really not doing well,” Jase said. “He’s struggling.”

Willie said, “He’s fractured his back and that’s where the pain’s at. So, he’s kind of battling many different things at the same time,” adding, “I just got a message from him for me to bring him more food. He seems to like my cooking.”

Despite health struggles, Phil’s faith has remained a cornerstone of his life. Willie said, “He still quotes the Bible and still talks about his faith in God, so I think that’s been comforting and something that he hasn’t lost yet.”

Willie added, “His faith is such an important part of his life. And life is short and temporary, and he’s always known that.”

Willie expressed optimism for his father’s future, noting many prayers for healing. “Who knows? God could do some amazing things,” Wille said.
