Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently visited Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii to thank military members and their families for their service and sacrifices. Johnson said the visit was an “absolute honor” and expressed pride in being a “forever proud patriot.”
In this gallery, we take a closer look at Johnson’s visit.

Johnson stated that it was his “absolute honor to once again come back to sacred land, and spend time with our soldiers and their families at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam here in Oahu, Hawaii.”

Johnson added, “Forever a proud patriot as our freedom is our greatest privilege.”

Johnson reflected on his childhood in Hawaii, expressing his gratitude for a chance to give back to the community that shaped him. “What a privilege and an honor it is to be back here on this base. I grew up here, on the other side of the island. As a kid and a teenager, I was doing a lot of things I shouldn’t be doing.”

As a gesture of appreciation, the base presented Johnson with a flag, which he accepted with heartfelt thanks and admiration for the troops.

Johnson added that he is “boundlessly grateful to all our military men and women & their families for their service. A great day to look you in your eyes and shake your hands.”

Johnson concluded, “I love you guys, thank you for your service, all of you. I love you so much.”

Following the September assassination attempt on President-elect Donald Trump, Johnson called Trump’s response a moment the nation “wanted to see,” regardless of political views. Speaking at The Value Conference in Florida, Johnson emphasized that such acts have no place in the country.

Johnson said, “Whether you love Donald, don’t love Donald, it doesn’t matter. They tried to assassinate him. There’s no room for that. Despite it being who we were in that moment, I still believe in my core that is not who we are as a country. So him standing up at that moment, we wanted to see that.”

Johnson shared his connection to Trump, recalling how Trump was a fan who attended his wrestling matches at Madison Square Garden. He joked about Trump asking to see his iconic eyebrow, referencing a popular meme.

Johnson previously stated that he woudn’t endorse a candidate in the 2024 election, admitting that his 2020 endorsement of President Biden caused division among fans.

Johnson said, “The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was what I thought was the best decision for me at that time,” adding, “Am I going to do that again this year? That answer’s no. I’m not going to do that. Because what I realized that what that caused back then was something that tears me up in my guts back then and now, which is division. And that got me.”

Johnson added, “The takeaway after that months and months and months, I started to realize like, ‘Oh man, that caused an incredible amount of, division in our country.’ So I realize now going into this election, I’m not going to do that. I wouldn’t do that because my goal is to bring our country together. I believe in that, in my DNA. So in the spirit of that, there’s going to be no endorsement.”
