Formed the group The Braxtons
Toni Braxton and her sisters, Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar, originally formed the group The Braxtons in the late 1980s. They signed with Arista Records in 1989.
Did not achieve success
Their first single, “Good Life,” was released in 1990 but did not achieve success. However, it caught the attention of record executive Antonio “L.A.” Reid and producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.
