Dave Coulier Who Portrayed Joey Gladstone
Dave Coulier, famous for portraying Joey Gladstone on “Full House,” has revealed that he has been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. “Three days later, my doctors called me back, and they said, ‘We wish we had better news for you, but you have non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and it’s called B cell, and it’s very aggressive,'” Coulier revealed.
In this slideshow, we explore Gladstone’s recent diagnosis as well as his successful career through the years.

Coulier received the diagnosis in October after experiencing severe swelling in his lymph nodes, which led to an upper respiratory infection. He described the news as overwhelming and shared that he began chemotherapy two weeks after his diagnosis.
It was pretty overwhelming
“I went from, I got a little bit of a head cold to I have cancer, and it was pretty overwhelming,” Coulier said. “This has been a really fast roller-coaster ride of a journey.”
Wait a minute
“The first thing I said to them was, ‘Wait a minute — cancer?’” Coulier continued. “(I was) feeling like I got punched in the stomach because it never happens to you. You always hear about it happening to someone else.”
He maintains a positive outlook
Despite the challenges, he has maintained a positive outlook and humor about his situation, expressing gratitude for his life and the support from his wife, Melissa, who has been instrumental in managing his care.
She thought I was joking
“I was just contemplating, ‘How do I tell her?’” he explained. “When I told her, of course, she thought I was joking. She’s got stuff color-coded,” he added. “It’s pretty great.”
From a Virgo to a Cancer
“My joke is that in four short weeks I’ve gone from a Virgo to a Cancer,” he joked. “I’ve tried to retain a sense of reality but also a sense of humor about it. I told Melissa I don’t know why, but I (am) OK with whatever the news (is) going to be no matter how devastating. … I can’t explain where that came from,” he said.
I’ve had an incredible life
“I’ve had an incredible life. I’ve had the most amazing people in my life. This has been an extraordinary journey, and I’m OK if this is the end of the journey,” he concluded.
